The mineral setting for lithium has not been determined yet but is suspected to be contained within the sericite alteration of the plagioclase or the k-spars. What is important about the sericite alteration is the source for TIN has not been sourced as of yet but most griessen Tin veins all have enveloping sericite alteration. The host rock is a biotite magnetite-bearing granite. We have done a plot of element ratios common to pegmatites and the result at Mt Hart plotted just above the “pegmatite field”.
The protrusion is a feature that has to be sampled via the use of rock climbers to determine the type of rock for assaying. The Protrusion has all the hallmarks of a pegmatite.
All in all the lithium values are very interesting.
